Dana Arbib
“The way I usually start designing is I think of a historical design technique. I then study the technique and artists who employed that technique within their work. The technique I looked at was patchwork textiles, the artists spanned from the Gee’s Bend, to Gunta Stölzl, to Louise Bourgeois. I consider the technique, the work studied, and how I would interpret it within my own perspective.”
